Our trainings offer a wide range of information on LGBTQ people and birth/parenting (sources and handouts provided), with sections including: LGBTQ families by the numbers (statistics), current definitions, health disparities experienced by LGBTQ people, discussion and activities to explore our own identities and privileges, role-playing to practice language and interrupting oppression, and action steps to help birth workers deepen their allyship and provide competent support to potential LGBTQ clients and families.
